Posted Once, Read at Every Turn: The Sign Card Routine

A signpost earns its keep by being read the same way at every passing. A character fixed to a post in the studio gets the same benefit: her description is written once, on a sign card, and every tool that passes the post reads that card — not a fresh description invented at the bench where the tool happens to stand.

The card holds five lines in fixed order. Age, a plain number. Hair — colour, length, habitual style. Build in two or three words. Face — one or two enduring details. Signature — the detail that survives a tight crop. Beneath the card hangs the day’s board: outfit, bench, hour, light — the things meant to change at every turn.

Paste the card word for word at the head of every prompt, whichever tool is running. Generate at the standard 6 credits, judge against the card, and let the editor, the swaps and the upscalers work only on what judging has passed — each of them reading the same card at the same post.

Eight tools, one post, one card. That is the entire navigation system of this studio, and it has never lost a character yet.
